Leslie's Gourmet Mushrooms is a small, home-based farm in Sunset, South Carolina, dedicated to providing fresh, high-quality gourmet mushrooms. Founded in 2024, our unique approach focuses on delivering exceptional flavor and health benefits directly to your kitchen.

Our History
It all began with a passion for the unmatched taste of fresh mushrooms compared to store-bought varieties. After years of learning and experimentation, I started sharing my surplus with friends and family. In 2024, I expanded production to share these delicious and nutritious mushrooms with a wider audience, hoping to brighten kitchens throughout the area. My favorite way to enjoy them is simply sautéed in olive oil with garlic, sea salt, and a touch of butter.

Our Values
At Leslie's Gourmet Mushrooms, our core values revolve around sustainable practices and quality. Our mushrooms are cultivated inside climate-controlled grow tents, ensuring optimal conditions without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Fresh air circulation and careful monitoring maintain a healthy environment for our crops.
Our Process
This involves using hardwood sawdust, supplemented with non-GMO soy hull pellets or wheat bran, and using sterilized feed grade grains with organic liquid culture mycelium. We pasteurize all substrates before adding grain spawn, guaranteeing a clean and natural growing environment.
